FMM Perak News Updates
We are pleased to inform that FMM Perak will be providing regular updates on current issues taken up with the State through the various Government’s working committees in which FMM is represented. At the same time, we also want to keep members informed on important issues and discussions discussed at the Branch Committee and Working Committees. Revised Price for Trade Forms
Pleased be informed that effective July 1, 2010, FMM had revised its rates for trade forms. All forms had been revised to RM35 and RM55 for members and non-members respectively per pad of 40 sets whereas the price for Certificate of Origin Form is revised to RM15 and RM20 for members and non-members respectively per pad of 100 pieces. Except for GSP Form A, the price of the forms has not been revised for the past 10 years. The price increase was unavoidable as printing costs has increased by 13-15%. FMM Perak is organising a training course on ’Japanese for Beginners (Level 1)’ on July 6, 2010 – October 19, 2010 (Scheduled Tuesdays), 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm at FMM Perak for individuals who want to communicate in the Japanese Language, both in and out of working environment. We are pleased to inform members that due to FMM Perak’s efforts and representations to the Police Department Perak regarding increase in crime rates in Ipoh District, the Police Department has provided the Branch a Contact List of ALL Police Stations in Ipoh District. The International Standard of Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM No.15) are guidelines for regulating wood packing material (WPM) in international trade. The standards apply for both import and export consignments and are aimed to reduce and eliminate the spread of pests to our country’s agriculture and timber industry.
