FMM Perak Updates

The FMM Perak Branch was formed in 1968 with the objective to provide closer services to members and to look into the development of the local industries. The Perak Branch started off with a membership strength of only 20 members. Over its 40 years, membership has been increasing and as of to-date, the Branch is representing over 255 members in Perak.

The Branch Committee meets every month to discuss issues pertaining to the manufacturing sector at both the State and Federal levels. For State issues, the Committee will refer them to the relevant State authorities while for Federal issues, the Branch Chairman will highlight them to the FMM Council in Kuala Lumpur in his capacity as Council Member.

FMM Perak’s close liaison with the State Government, State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), State Economic Development Centre (SEDC), Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Malaysian Industrial and Services Development Authority (MISDA), Royal Customs Malaysia, and various other important Government Departments and Agencies as well as privatized bodies such as Bahagian Pembahagian TNB and Telekom Malaysia Bhd, is testimony of the State Government’s recognition of the FMM as its major partner in the Malaysia Incorporated Concept.
